Dec 5
The 14th Krakow Advent & Christmas Choir Festival will take place from 5 to 7 December 2025 in Kraków, Poland. This annual event is open to all amateur choirs worldwide, giving them an opportunity to present a rich repertoire of Advent, Christmas, and sacred choral music in some of Kraków’s most prestigious churches, including St. Peter and St. Paul Church, St. Mary’s Basilica (Mariacki Church), and St. Catherine’s Church.
Participating choirs may choose to compete in one of five categories, with an international jury awarding the coveted “Golden Angel” statuettes and diplomas to winners. Choirs that opt out of competition are also warmly invited to join the festival as non-competitive ensembles, performing in additional concerts around Kraków to engage with local audiences and fellow visiting choirs.
Beyond formal performances, the festival emphasizes cultural exchange and camaraderie. Choir directors and singers share repertoire, techniques, and experiences, fostering friendships across borders. The historic venues—with their superb acoustics and stunning architecture—provide a unique backdrop for all performances, competitive and non-competitive alike.
In summary, the 14th Krakow Advent & Christmas Choir Festival promises three days of sublime choral artistry set against Kraków’s winter charm. Whether competing for a Golden Angel or celebrating the joy of collective singing, choirs will leave with musical inspiration and lasting memories of the Advent and Christmas spirit.
